amen

EXPLANATION

Amen is derived from the Hebrew language means “truly” or “surely”. It is used in the Eucharist and other formal prayers as the community’s response to a prayer made by the leader. Saying or signing “Amen” is a way of agreeing and supporting what has been prayed for.
